PartII.
How to improve paper
-First I would make my paper in either the first person or third person. Then I would try to order the paragraphs so that they flow, putting the most general first and then getting more specific. It needs to sound like the paragraphs flow so I need put a good transition sentence at the end of each paragraph.
Part III
Jenn asked...
1. Why does it need to be most general to most specific?
- It needs to be most general to most specific because the introduction is the most general part of the essay, since it is first the rest should follow in order with the most specific at the end.
2. What is the emphasis of the paper?
- The ephasis of the paper is how the internet is hindering people's social skills.
3. What transitions will you use?
- The transition sentences would be to the effect of " Due to the fact that...." Or " This is further shown by..." It will help to lead into the next paragraph and next idea.
Nicole asked...
1. How are you going to generalize then go into specific details?
- Since the introduction is the most general part of the essay, it would be the first paragraph. Then each paragraph after that would get more specific.
2. How are you going to transition given the general to specific rule?
- The transition sentences will just help to lead to the next idea so that everything flows well. It doesn't really have anything to so with weither its specific or not.
3. How are you going to flow?
- I will make everything flow by bringing all the ideas together.
Fred asked...
1. What do you mean by 1st or 3rd?
- What I mean by 1st or 3rd is weither I will use "I" or "They."
2. What kind of transition sentences?
- The kind o transition sentences I will use are " Due to the fact that..." Or "This is further shown by..."

Cubism

Léger was born in the Argentan, Orne, Basse-Normandie, where his father raised livestock. He apprenticed with an architect from 1897-1899 before moving in 1900 to Paris, where he supported himself as an architectural draftsman. After military service in Versailles in 1902-1903, he enrolled at the School of Decorative Arts; he also applied to the Ecole des Beaux-Arts but was rejected. He nevertheless attended the Beaux-Arts as a non-enrolled student, spending what he described as "three empty and useless years" studying withGerome and others, while also studying at the Academie Julian. He began to work seriously as a painter only at the age of 25. At this point his work showed the influence of Impressionism, as seen in Le Jardin de ma mère (My Mother's Garden) of 1905, one of the few paintings from this period that he did not later destroy.

Article
1) Matt summarized the article very well. However the way he summarizes and the language he uses it sounds as if he is speaking to older people. He shows how people are using the Internet and avatar sites to share information with people. Reading his summary, I think you get a clear understanding of the article.
2)His issue is that not everyone contributes information online. He uses the One Person Rule to help support his thesis. It's not so much a problem but an inaccuracy on the article part that he is concerned with. He showed alot of evidence to support his thesis. For example, in the sixth paragraph, he states clearly what the One Percent Rule is and sites at the bottom of the page where he found the information. It is not really a problem that he is most concerned with but the inaccuracy with the article. He helped me to see that even though many people go online not everyone contributes to the information.
3)Matt Shemwell is the type of person who seems very religious. He says that he doesn't read much but he does enjoy reading the bible. He moved here to help open a church. He seems like the type of person who would think something wrong because it is not in the bible. He doesn't seem to have much fun. He does seem to like sports. So maybe he knows how to have a little fun. He seems very straight. Like he does everything by the book.http://www.myspace.com/shemwell
4) I found the most obsessive profile. This kid was obsessed with his car and all cars for that matter. So the first thing i thought was "what a loser this kid is." Then I thought he's either rich because he has a really nice car or he stole it. Then I looked at his pictures to see if he had any hott friends. Then I looked at his profile to see is he had a girlfriend and if he seemed like a nice guy.

In class writing # 2
I think that the different Avatar sites, Facebook, MySpace, and Xanga, are so important to people because they help you to find with common interest as you. You can find people that you haven't seen in a long time. They help to stay in contact with your friends. They help you to meet people that maybe you wouldn't normally talk to, but because it's online it makes it easier to talk to people. You can talk to people from different parts of the country. They help you to get know people. We care about them because everyone uses them. You want to always be in the know with your friends. I think that even though it is social you are not physically interacting with the person. So how personal and social can they be?
In class writting #1
The noises where all jumbled together. The first song sounded like an old record that a French man was talking into. It sounded aol because the beginning had a lot of static. Then there was one that sounded like what you would see if you were on "E" in a club. Everything was very sharp. There was no flow to the music.
